Welcome to Wickhambrook Primary Academy's website.
All academies have their own distinctive ‘feel’ which makes each one unique. We believe that the ‘special feel’ at Wickhambrook is because of our caring, family atmosphere where everyone is valued as an individual and where parents, carers and the wider community are invited to share in school life.
The school was last inspected by Ofsted in February 2012 when the overall effectiveness was judged to be outstanding. The Inspection Report said, ‘This is an outstanding school that has improved in all respects since its previous inspection.’
Our academy continues to develop in many exciting ways, providing an even more enriching experience for our children. Children really are at the centre of everything we do. We have high expectations for both behaviour and achievement and believe that every pupil has a unique personality and talents to be developed.
I am extremely proud to lead a team that is committed to providing the very best opportunities for the children who attend Wickhambrook Primary Academy. Staff, supported by governors, work hard to deliver a rich, challenging and memorable curriculum, to prepare children for future education and to help them acquire the skills and enthusiasm needed to pursue learning for the rest of their lives.
Our website contains lots of information about our school but the best way to find out about our school is to come and visit, see us in action and meet the staff and children. A telephone call to either Mrs Franks (Office Manager) or Lucy Rankin (Administrator) in the school office on 01440 820309 is all that is needed to arrange this.
